Возникли затруднения с переводом выражения "rotating exhibits'' в следующем контексте: The Gothenburg Museum of Art on Gothenburg’s main square, Götaplatsen, is open daily from June to August and closed on Mondays for the rest of the year. Those 25 years and older pay a small fee for entry, but tickets are valid for the whole year. You may have to pay extra for rotating exhibits.

Выставка всегда временная. Невременная экспозицией кличется.

A rotation, in museum lingo, is the changing of a work or multiple works on display; as one is taken off view, another replaces it. And there certainly is plenty of behind-the-scenes action involved with each rotation.

In many museums, the practice of rotating objects ensures that light-sensitive or extremely fragile works—often works on paper, such as drawings, prints, and photographs—are not on view for too long. Sometimes, because of the need for specially reduced lighting levels, works slated for rotation are housed in a separate room or on their own wall. In the new galleries of the Harvard Art Museums, works on paper are incorporated among more stable, less-sensitive works.

спасибо, я rotation так-то понимаю немножко даже без словаря. иногда.

Это другая ротация нежели у аскера. Было бы странно, чтобы брали дополнительную плату каждый раз, когда одну картину или книжку относят в хранилище и взамен выставляют другую из того же хранилища.
А вот если вытащить из хранилища на недельку или месяц какую-нибудь коллекцию, чтобы потом снова убрать с глаз долой, это уже будет выставка. И тоже ротация, если время от времени такое устраивать.
