This is a common mistake even among native speakers. But what I really don't understand is how they can write "would of said" - it doesn't make any sense at all! |

нуачо, если это читать и проговаривать мысленно, то произносится оно точно как надо - вуд ав сэд причем без этого глухого и съедаемого h- (not to mention the silent -e at the end) |

Automatic transcription/subtitling software is notoriously unreliable, at least in English. The BBC experimented with it for some of their TV programme subtitles 20 years ago, but the results were so bad that they reverted to using human subtitlers, or a mixture of the two. 'would of said' is also wrong. It's used mainly by illiterate native English-speakers (and by some automatic transcribers/subtitlers) only because 'of' and 'have' sound similar in spoken English. This is because most people don't bother to pronounce the 'h' in 'have' unless they're speaking slowly – see comments above. It's also used in some rhyming songs/poetry. Almost no-one else uses it, though. |

"нуачо, если это читать и проговаривать мысленно, то произносится оно точно как надо - вуд ав сэд" да это я прекрасно понимаю, что произносится оно так же. но ведь ПИШУТ "would of said", а это не имеет никакого смысла с точки зрения грамматики. ладно бы там "I would say no." или "The terms and conditions of (the) said agreement..." - в таких оборотах есть смысл. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJtH41Sh65Y вот здесь на 1 мин. 37 сек. - что и ввело в ступор, так как ребенок по-русски эту фразу знает как именно «Справедливость сама собой не восстановится», смотрели с ним "Игру престолов" на английском с английскими субтитрами, - и там была эта же фраза по значению, но не по форме, - с другим глаголом, кот. он на тот момент не помнил (dispense) - ну и стали искать по запросу все фразы маккри на английском. Вот и нашли) потом разобрались) |

«Справедливость сама собой не восстановится» КМК, тут смысл несколько иной: "Справедливость не гуляет по земле" (не самораспространяется), как, напр.: |
