Доброе утро! Как бы вы перевели: "рукоятка кинжала полностью не сохранилась"?
Или "рукоятка сохранилась частично".
"Рукоятка не сохранилась".
Последнее перевожу как "the handle did not survive the ages".
А с первыми двумя сложности: не могу придумать более-менее хорошо звучащий вариант.
Крутил глагол remain, но пока без успеха. Preserve, мне кажется, не лезет.

"Рукоять" переводят обычно как hilt, grip или handle.
Насколько я разобрался, "hilt" включает в себя навершие (pommel), тогда как grip или handle - нет.
По контексту речь о grip или handle.
По поводу полностью не сохранилась / сохранилась частично.
Some parts are missing - звучит хорошо, но не уверен, что рукоять по контексту состоит из частей, поэтому сомневаюсь.
Did not remain fully preserved - тоже хорошо звучит, но не знаю, ложится ли в таком контексте?

В принципе можно даже сказать, например, the top part is missing, т.е. части тут условности.
