The following words/phrases are correct/better English: * Dear Friends, * Happy New Year! * We wish you good ideas * the bottom of our heart. OR * We hope 2016 .... * is full of positive changes for you. * Please accept our sincere wishes for happiness and good health to .... * you and your families. 'General Representation' -- [I'm not sure what you mean here]. Note: UK and US Happy New Year cards usually have only short messages in them -- so I would remove one of three paragraphs after 'Happy New Year!'. I hope this helps. |

Г-н Johnstephenson, благодарю Вас за комментарии. Речь шла не о точках с запятыми, а о НЕ английской стиле построения английского делового письма, с порядком слов в предложениях проблем нет. Штирлиц выдал себя с головой. |

The punctuation is quite important if you want it to sound English. For example, we don't use the exclamation mark as much as you do in Russian, and if you use it repeatedly in the same text, it looks strange. I'm assuming this is going into a Happy New Year card rather than as a letter. People in the US and UK wouldn't normally send this as a letter; it would go into a card, even between organisations. I'm not sure exactly what the writer means by 'positive change'. It could imply that there is something wrong with the recipient/their organisation. So, on reflection, I would omit this paragraph completely. I don't understand your last line, I'm afraid. I rarely go to the cinema; I assume it's from a Stierlitz film. |
