CP which has a limited lifetime and tasked, at the beginning of the action, with: 1. establishing initial liaisons; 2. making local contacts host nation, allies, embassy, etc.; 3. assessing the situation, which comprises the validation of assumptions and presuppositions contained in the planning and the suppression of uncertainties; 4. reconnoitering.
