Any plan for the conduct of military operations prepared in response to actual and potential contingencies. zob. też operation order; A complete and detailed joint plan containing a full description of the concept of operations, all annexes applicable to the plan, and a time-phased force and deployment data (JP 5-0) zob. też operation order
wojsk., logist. Related term: functional planning guide and contingency plan. FRA 2. A plan for a single operation or a series of connected operations to be carried out simultaneously or in succession. It is usually based upon stated assumptions and is the form of directive employed by higher authority to permit subordinate commanders to prepare supporting plans and orders. The designation “plan” is usually used instead of “order” in preparing for operations well in advance. An operation plan may be put into effect at a prescribed time, or on signal, and then becomes the operation order. (UKR/NATO)
