wojsk., logist.	Air defense organization tasked, within the operational control chain, with the immediate conduct of air operations. It is specially in charge of: 1. the dissemination of the alert; 2. the definition of the overall air situation within its area of responsibility; 3. the control of air assets; 4. the control of the direct transport towards air defense artillery units. When one or more control and reporting systems are located within its area of responsibility, they are linked with the Control and Reporting Center. The latter hands them over the mission of guiding air raids, and delegates to them the responsibility of the direct control of air defense units located within their area. (FRA)
