In NATO standardization, the stated qualification by a member nation that describes the part of a standardization agreement that it will not implement or will implement only with limitations. FRA 2. Formations belonging to the various armed services, human resources, armaments, military equipment and other assets designated to constitute new and reinforce existing force groupings, accomplish new tasks arising in the course of a war, operation or battle, and regenerate and support a deployed army or fleet. 3. An element of the operational or tactical combat formation designated to carry out tasks arising unexpectedly in the course of an operation at tactical or operational level.
