They were set up for health care professionals under the guise of continuing education, but they were actually talks given by drug reps. In every case, the drug rep would claim that adverse reactions of a certain drug were "very rare" claiming stats like .001% Yet the group of health care professionals would beg to differ, because we were seeing many adverse reactions on a daily basis. During one of the lectures, I disputed the guys claims, then turned around and asked for a show of hands, if they saw a certain adverse reaction on the drug in at least 50% of those taking it.
