Applications are invited from dynamic individuals for the following challenging positions:

LANGUAGE PRACTITIONER (2 POSTS) S61021047; S1021051

Scale: R109 692 – 178 464 per annum

Primary function: To translate and edit municipal documents from Afrikaans into English or vice versa and to develop terminology in both languages

Appointment requirements: An appropriate tertiary, career-related qualification and experience (a three-year degree or national diploma)

Qualification requirements: National diploma or BA degree in languages (English/Afrikaans)

Job-specific requirements: Relevant practical experience as a translator and editor in English and Afrikaans; general knowledge of the National Language Policy Framework; good writing skills; computer literacy is essential (MS Word and Outlook)

• The salary scales as indicated in the advertisements are that of the nodal municipality (GPMC)

• The salary will be based on the appointment requirements as put out in the interim Grading Scheme of Tshwane, which may result in the increase or decrease of your current salary.
