To use 'noble' or 'aristocracy' for description of 'wood' seems uncommon. Can you give a full sentence that you will create? It will help to understand your meaning. It can be 'a noble tree'. But to only say 'noble wood' is unusual.

You'd be surprised. :-) Check your sources - interior designers, design magazines, furniture makers use it regularly to denote rare, exotic and expensive timber. Makes the phrase common enough.

(Вообще, то что для некоторых звучит "красиво", для других прозвучит в лучшем случае смешно, а то и пошловато. Для кого переводим?)

Been there, done that ... one of designer companies operates under the slogan Noble wood for noble use or maybe it was Noble use for noble wood... something like that, anyhow ...
