Subject: market has been hyped-up by the press Can someone please help me express this in Russian? The market has been hyped-up by the press, but in the end, real estate investments in Spain will more than likely go bust. My poor attempt: thanks! |
имхо: Несмотря на усиленную рекламную компанию, развернтую прессой вокруг ситуации на рынке недвижимости, инвестиции, вложенные недвижимое имущество в Испании скорее всего превратятся в выброшенные на ветер деньги |
kisman thank you! that is exaclty the kind of beautiful thing i am trying to think of but cant come to ..... ah.. i have such a long way to go before i am going to be able fully express myself in Russian. |
Susan, for me it's also a long way, but i manage somehow by finding some shortcuts to cut corners. To be honest u r making progress in your Russian, i am not. |
Kinsman, I have made progress and this I can freely admit. I have become more understandabel and can follow what is going on with most topics (if he deals with what i know nothing about in english, i am still stumped but i think that's not a language problem) But, when it comes to style my russian is still suffering horribly. it makes me sad becasue i truly enjoy being able to make full use of a language and like to be able to say exactly what i mean by picking that "oh so perfect" combination of words. communication is a game and i am a player. but my russian is not up to the task. in any case, do you think you could help me with: it's also about real estate. the thing is, tourism is opening up there now and so the market related to it is growing rapidly and shows huge profit potential so i am saying that it is a "must tap" but i cant think of a good way to put this in RUssian. thanks a million! |

+ ИМХО можно еще сказать: Не смотря на АЖИОТАЖ в прессе вокруг рынка (невижимости) |
check it up: Рынок туристических услуг Болгарии является центром притяжения инвестиций meaning one has to tap into its potential |

"must tap" venture - выгодное дело, к которому нужно обязательно примазаться/примазаться )) But it is very colloquial! |

к первому ответу кинсмана: рекламная кАмпания, ну и "скорее всего" запятыми выделить |
black_velvet I know that "must tap" venture is colloquial which is why i am having such a problem putting in Russian. or do you mean that примазаться/примазаться is very colloquial? |
+ consider: ...имеет привлекательность (соблазнительную выгоду) для инвесторов, перед которой невозможно устоять. |
или лучше: ...имеет все условия (предпосылки) для успешного вложения средств |
Thanks to all of you for the interest. Very useful and very much appreciated advice here. Now I don't know which one is best :) |

Nina79, Yes, of course, I meant "примазаться". (I know that English is your mother tongue :-) ) "Примазаться" is highly colloquial, almost slang, so be careful where you use that. |
balck_velvet ok, thanks |
