Subject: Порядок слов в вопросительном предложении. Какой порядок слов должен быть в вопросительном предложении, которое начинается с may be?Пример: May be it is necessary for his work? (прямой порядок слов) Почему? |
May be, IMHO, уже содержит утверждение. Поэтому употребляется прямой порядок слов. Пусть специалисты поправят. |
Я не специалист, но порядок слов абсолютно точно прямой. |
И мне кажется, что прямой... Но почему, если это вопрос? |
In your case you should use one word "maybe". And it is not even a question in English then, just a probability suggested by a speaker. Check here:http://wsu.edu/~brians/errors/maybe.html “Maybe” is an adverb meaning “perhaps,” so if you are uncertain whether to use this word or the phrase “may be,” try substituting “perhaps”: “Maybe she forgot I said I’d meet her at six o’clock” becomes “Perhaps she forgot. . . .” When the substitution makes sense, go with one word: “maybe.” When you are wondering whether you may be waiting in the wrong cafe, you’re dealing with a verb and its auxiliary: “may be.” Two words. |
It is a suggestive question. Direct w/o, but rising tone |

Я еще подумала, что здесь опущен хвостик , isn't it?, так как разговорная речь. Но тут уже не уверена )) |
Спасибо!!! |
