a. Shrink Incident Classification
Shrink Incidents can be classified in one of the following ways:
• “Unaccounted For COAs”
• “Theft”

“Unaccounted For COAs” occur in the following situations; COAs that “(i) have not been properly shipped or are in transit to a Customer in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, (ii) have been shipped in excess of the amount ordered, (iii) have been shipped without authorization, (iv) are not in Company’s inventory, and/or (v) have not been properly destroyed.” Shrink Incidents are typically uncovered through reconciliation activities and/or cycle counting.

“Theft” is a situation where the AR has evidence and/or knowledge that COAs have been stolen from the premises of the AR or in the transit process. In these situations, it is imperative that the AR report the incident immediately to MSLI/MIOL.
