The effect of SLV308 on cognition was investigated in two different paradigms: the delayed non-matching-to-position (DNMTP) test in the rat and delayed matching-to-sample (DMTS) test in the pigeon. In the DNMTP task in rats, working memory performance can be measured. In this paradigm SLV308 (0.028 and 0.092 mg/kg p.o.) did not affect the slope of the forgetting curve and did not disrupt performance independent of delay. Hence it can be concluded that SLV308 does not affect working or short term memory in the DNMTP task. Moreover, in the DMTS test in pigeons, SLV308 (0.092-2.8 mg/kg p.o.) did not affect the slope of the forgetting
curve but induced a small disruption of performance independent of delay. Therefore, SLV308 did not specifically affect memory in the DMTS task. Спасибочки!
