Further, the percussive drilling may be classified according to whether an impact device is outside the drill hole or in the drill hole during the drilling. When the impact device is in the drill hole, the drilling is typically called down-the-hole drilling (DTH) . Since the impact device is in the DTH drilling machine located inside the drill hole, structure of the impact device needs to be compact.
