Уважаемые переводчики! Помогите с переводом предложения. Смысл понятен, но правильно оформить мысль не получатся.

According to Minister, in filling its Application, Guyana has respected the Secretary General's decision and placed its faith in the International Court of Justice to resolve the controversy in accordance with its Statute and jurisprudence, based on the fundamental principles of international law, including the sanctity of treaties, the maintenance of settled boundaries and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of States.

В особенности, как правильнее перевести данный отрывок: in filling its Application, Guyana has respected the Secretary General's decision? Подавая заявление, Гайана выразила уважение решению Секретаря?
placed its faith- рассчитывает(что МС разрешит спор...) или выражает свое доверие МС в разрешении спора??

возможно, что вариант Anastas_prodakshn'а и подойдет
"... Гайана выразила уважение ..."
в начале статьи идет фраза " в соответствии с решением", а в этой заключительной фразе, вероятно можно перейти на "высокий" стиль))) "уважает... и полагается (целиком доверяет.)..

для устранения противоречия/разногласия полагается на решение Международного суда

Если дословно:...оказывает доверие ...суду в разрешении (урегулировании) спора в соответствии с его Регламентом (я думаю, здесь Statutes = Rules)...
