Subject: show-oil .bullfrog gen. Помогите, пожалуйста, перевести Leadership flaws reflect the wrong motivation and the bullfrog, the 'show-oil' for, whom status and power is more important than achievement.

1) 'show-oil' probably = 'show-off'. 2) I've not heard of 'bullfrog' leaders, but it could possibly refer to this business/management theory term: 'LIZARDS' v 'BULLFROGS' "Lizards: Although small, the lizard moves around quickly and adapts its behaviour to varying circumstances. It goes out, kills what it finds and eats it, but only consumes what it needs. A 'lizard' organization operates the same way. Bullfrogs: By contrast, the bullfrog is large and fat and sits on a lily pad all day waiting for flies to come to it, and just hopes the fly supply doesn't run out. The more flies it eats, the bigger it gets so that it then needs to consume even more. A 'bullfrog' organization operates the same way. Once an organization starts to slide away from the 'lizard' end of the spectrum towards the 'bullfrog' end, that decline is very difficult to stop. If the slide is to be reversed, it will require a change in leadership because it is the way an organization is led that determines whether it operates like a 'lizard' or a 'bullfrog'." So, according to this theory, a 'bullfrog' organization is a very undynamic, oversized one that doesn't adapt to changing circumstances and waits for customers to come to it rather than going out and looking for customers. On the other hand, it could mean something completely different .... |
