It’s illogical. It should mean the rate (frequency) + the timeframe (days or weeks) for administering this drug. So the translation should be:

But the procedure is pretty fast, not as fast as an ordinary intramuscular shot in the buttocks though. The main point here is the technique of inserting the needle precisely at the correct angle as well as penetrating the precise spot. Simply put, NO, IT IS NOT ABOUT THE SPEED OF INJECTION! IT IS ABOUT THE TIMEFRAME. SOMETIMES SUCH INJECTIONS ARE ADMINISTERED ONCE A WEEK.
