Ohio State приведен в пример, университет может быть любой. Смысл понимаю- оркестр состоит как из граждан, так и студентов. А как быть с community band?

Имхо, это не обязательно любительский, т.к. в универах не просто любители играют в унив-ом оркестре, а те, у которых есть муз. образование (так же, как и в их школах).
