"His proven business leadership makes Harish Manwani an outstanding addition to our board," Whirlpool Corporation Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeff M Fettig said in a statement.
Recently appointed to take charge as Unilever's COO from September 2011, Manwani, at present, is the President of Asia, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe at Unilever. He has served as president on the Unilever Executive Board since 2005.
