Subject: question
Hi!

How would you translate into English the following a bit obsolete Russian expression: "Да как вас еще земля носит!?"

THE CLOSEST match will be fine, no exact rendition is necessary -- just to render the spirit of the expression. Please respond off-list via e-mail.

Thanks!

To Usher:
quite a nice variant! Very emphatic!

the key meaning of the phrase, as i understand it, is not the burden the earth takes upon itself to bear such a horrible creature, but rather why still didnt it crack open to drop the subject in to the abyss of eternal damnation. arguable of course :)
