this begs the question -100 "Begging the question" is a form of logical fallacy in which a statement or claim is assumed to be true without evidence other than the statement or claim itself. ...all that being said, the use of "beg the question" to mean "raise another question" is so ubiquitous that the new sense has been recognized by most dictionaries and sanctioned by descriptive observers of language.
