Subject: hadronizes phys. A novel window in the physics of the strong interactions has been provided recently by the experimental efforts at RHIC, [1]. The consensus on the existing data is that shortly after the collision, a ball of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) forms that is at thermal equilibrium, and subsequently expands until its temperature falls below the QCD transition (or crossover) where it finally hadronizes.
