Subject: По результатам Dear forum,How is 'По результатам' to be translated in: "По результатам расследования уголовного дела нo [..], [число] принято решение о его прекращение в связи с истечением сроков давности уголовного преследования."? I thought: 'based on the results', but it doesn't combine well with 'в связи' in this context. Thanks for your help. |

Let's change the word order a bit: Due to a (or the) statute of limitation, the criminal case was closed after investigation. |
