The PTR also provides a high speed phase angle transducer output that is used by the TLC to implement the Fast Transfer. The PTR samples the Phase Angle across the breaker every 1/2 cycle using a patented sampling tecnnique that automatically corrects the angle data for the changing bus frequency. The first and second derivitives of phase angle are calculated by the PTR. The breaker closing time (TB) is programmed into the relay using a rotary switch.
