public document публично-правовой документ; официальный документ; государственный документ |
Could you say "official document/diploma". It seems like you are talking about some educational institution. In the U.S., there is not an dovernment-mandated form for a diploma. Even state univerisities issue diplomas with various wording on them. Private istitutions are also free to issue whatever form they choose. An institution may or may not be "accredited". Accredited means that its diploma is worth something, i.e. other universities and/or employers value it as an accurate indicator of the graduate's education. If the university is not accredited, then its diploma is not as valuable. So, the form and the wording of your diploma does not really matter that much. And there is no government-style diploma. |

Olexandra and Kanitaf, "public document" means only that a doc is "in the public domain", i.e. is publicly available / accessible. Please DO add "imho" when you venture conjectures :-)) |
