Елена уже предложила хороший глагол - build. к нему можно прилепить и loan portfolio, и book of loans/loan book

если увидеть контекст, то и "портфель" может не понадобиться вообще

Термин "lending portfolio" используется, например, в Bank of America; не так часто, как "loan portfolio", но все же:

Считаю, что лучше обойтись без экспромта (lending portfolio) и перевести "кредитный портфель" с помощью термина с наибольшей частотой встречаемости "loan portfolio" или так, как предлагал d. сегодня в 9:44 (в зависимости от контекста).
