High strength bolted connections shall be bearing type with threads included in the shear plane (type A325-N using A320 bolts). Slip-critical type connections (Type A325-SC using A320 bolts) shall be used when noted on the design drawings.

l) Direct tension indicator tightening shall be used for slip-critical connections.
m) Provide inspection plan for installation or slip critical connections to Company for approval.
