Double Click on the program to be modified.
Click on the Special Functions button (See fig. C) and fig D appears.
Forwarding is selected by default. (de-selecting ‘forwarding’ enables hitch feeding)
When using a Bend-die with Collet Plug, this option does NOT appear.
If the part is too long for the machine, and error will be displayed, and hitch feeding can be an option to produce the part. We can use traditional hitch feeding. With Interpolation or collet boost, we can still increase the tube loading capacity:
Using cycle 11 as follows
1- insert a value that could be swallowed by the machine collet in the “Manual increase of Fixed Value”
2- OR increase the collet swallow in the tooling library of that tool (remember to change it back)
Both of the above assumes that we have sufficient straight back-part that can be inserted in the collet and still produce a good part
