Здравствуйте. Мне уж и неудобно как-то, но очень надо.
1) The primary carrier bed underlies the thick Gevar’am shale and overlies progressively younger carbonate units toward the east, thereby forming a west to east profile from starved basin to shelf edge. – Не ясно «progressively» (это как?)

2) Another possible source that may be generating hydrocarbons in the present-day offshore are the lower Cretaceous Gever’am shale and the basinal equivalents of the sparsely drilled lower Jurassic and/or even the underlying Triassic and Permian intervals. - basinal equivalents ?

3) The exploration target is not obviously seen on the seismic line even though the tie lines are incorporated - объект не прослеживается на сейсмическом профиле даже при наложении связующегих профилей?

4) В таблице (сравнительный анализ качества данных сейсмической разведки) – Upper Cretaceous Slump (непонятно slump)

5) Assuming the total area of the proposed license to be 76 km2, these 35 lines provide a “tying network” roughly every 2.2 km in all directions. – после запятой конкретика от меня ускользает.

9) From at least the top of the Lower Barnea in the middle Jurassic to the present, the area west of the current Judean Heletz ridge was in general always dipping basinward to the west and for most of that time occupied the shelf to slope environment of a passive continental margin. - Все трудно.

10) It is envisaged that if one took the current shelf-slope basin profile and moved the coastline approximately 50 km to the east and perhaps as much as 5 km to the west, all of this post-Queren geological history could be properly placed in the scenario of shifting coastal onlap. – что-то мне не понятно: восток и запад – два противоположных направления. Т.е. фактически получается, что «двигать» надо на 45км на восток. Ну да, я совершенно не понимаю, о чем речь.

11) The top Qeren profile was an incipient ridge feature with low areas along strike and relatively low west dip towards the basin at that time, essentially like a chain of low relief islands. Не понятна первая часть, до along strike.

12) The fringes of the relatively higher areas of the profile were the sites of a slightly higher energy carbonate depositions – fringes? Просто края/кромка? И про энергию осадконакопления как красиво сказать?
13) Due to the fact that the high energy carbonate sedimentation essentially kept pace with the continuing transgression, the result was only a minor backstepping of the shelf edge throughout the Middle Upper Jurassic.- high energy carbonate sedimentation essentially kept pace with? minor backstepping - незначительное отступление?

14) The gaps updip to the present day coastal plane owe their existence to the comparably larger distances separating the slightly higher relief “island” topography on both sides along strike at the top of Qeren time and the inability of the sedimentation process to infill these low areas in the Middle to Upper Jurassic. In effect, therefore, the flanking areas along strike of the northwest-southwest oriented islands achieve the same stratigraphic profile as the northwestward facing front. Восточное падение при осадконакоплении становится очевидным с учетом латеральных скоростных вариаций, вызванных изменениями мощностей третичного осадочного выполнения по отношению к меловым и юрским шельфовым толщам.

10 - очевидно, имеется в виду сначала на восток, а потом на запад (там же "история")

т.к. интенсивное карб. осадконакопление в существенной мере компенсировало углубление шельфа за счет продолжавшейся трансгрессии, то происходило лишь незначительное отступление
кормки шельфа

gaps updip to the present day coastal plane - перерывы в осадконакоплении по восстанию отложений в направлении современной береговой равнине

the flanking areas along strike of the northwest-southwest oriented islands --- участки, простирающиеся параллельно островам, ориентированным ..... (или примыкающие с флангов к островам....)

А я ведь уже который день читаю: "overlies progressively". Нет, мне не смешно.
Это мне прислали документ по бурению. Только не сказали, что разведку бурят. Впредь буду умнее, и до прочтения основ геологии и еще каких-нибудь полезных основ, такие документы брать не буду.
