Как перевести в данном случае *Mart*? Просто "торговый центр" или транлитерировать как имя собственное ? (в гугле не нашла)

И *Squadron Leader Worth* - "майор Ворт"?
Не могу найти в инете какую-либо переводную инфу. Может, кто точно знает, какое звание было у этого кандидата (может, командир эскадрильи?)

Гугл говорит, что это майор авиации, а Mart - не имя собственное.

а что такое Mart? мне кажется, что это сокращение от всяких Wallmart, Keymart...

да, возможно, но просто мне неизвестно, какой именно "Март" был в городке Слифорд, поэтому, может быть, достаточно будет написть просто "торговый центр"?

в первом случае очень трудно сказать кто там кому "him" - возможно, придерживается иного относительно его собственного мнения

во втором случае, опять же анализ словарных значений подсказывает - просвещенное управление финансами, т.е. с использованием прогрессивных форм.
