Выражение встречается в следующем контексте:

Now that или anyway очень разные вещи. Какая связь? И что именно Вы хотите сказать? Использовать Now that, меняет смысл оригинала (меняет подтекст).
И Anyway, просто не очень уместно здесь в любом случае.

Помогаю знакомой выполнить упр. из учебника, задание перефразировать, используя speech patterns, которые представлены выражениями "Now that", "Have smb. do smth" и "Anyway"

Тогда всё ОЧЕНЬ просто:

Now that you explained have that "trying to keep up with the Joneses" means to have as much as one's neighbours (the Joneses) and, if possible, even more, ...... (здесь надо описать что ты сейчас можешь делать или что понял ...)
Е.g. Now that you have explained that..... I have a better understanding of what it is that you/he/she/they wanted to say/meant to say.
