| I would say here that "sheer" would be "сквозной" and "more translucent" would be "более прозрачный", because "полупрозрачнее" would just be silly. I definitely see your problem with this -- it's marketing-ese, and the two words mean pretty much the same thing. If it helps, "sheer" is usually used to described stockings, meaning that they are thin and sexy with nothing extra. Kind of ridiculous when applied to paint, but what are you going to do? |
