For some HardRok bit designs (HR-66 – HR-99) the combination of the compact diameter and the row spacing can create gaps in the cutting structure on the cone with the lightest set heel row. To insure durability a “row-saver” row of smaller diameter inserts is intermeshed with the adjacent heel row as shown in figure 3.30.
