I wish I knew what they are for! :( Unfortunately, all I have is a bunch of separated files, and this part obviously belongs to the section "INDUCTION HEATING EQUIPMENT FOR TUBE & BILLET HEATING", if it helps... So, this thing is a part of an induction channel furnace, but it's purpose is as unclear for me as for you :(

Знаете, я тут подумал… В Вашей ситуации я бы всё-таки написал цилиндры. О чём конкретно речь — непонятно, и заказчик не сделал ничего, чтобы понятно было. Соответственно, GIGO. Пускай получит, чего заслужил: к Вам никаких претензий быть не может, формально всё верно.

Похоже на (гидро-) или (пневмо-)цилиндры. Они могут раздвигаться и, наоборот, втягивать свои части...

Действительно очень похоже, но лучше не гадать. Не нравится — вон оригинал; почём купила, по том продала. А то объясняй после, откуда в переводе взялось то, чего в оригинале не было.
