Друзья, объясните, пожалуйста, как в современном английском принято писать сочетания двух существительных, одно из которых является определением для другого, короче как правильней и почему:Bank employees or Bank's employees, customer operations or customer's operations etc.

In your examples you put apostrophe on the second word. I'm afraid I cannot explain this grammatically. If you were to say customer's operations - it means operation of a particular customer, customer operations - depict a type of operations, and customers' operations - means operations made by customers. Again, my apologies if I'm not explaining it right. |
