получается вот такая заготовка, которую потом пускают в станок (получается плинтус, и т.д.) или же из кусочков в 20-30 см набирают ламели, из которых клеят мебельный щит.

тут, надо признасться, есть небольшое смешение названий
дело в том, что соединение в обычный ящичный шип по-английски тоже finger joint. Чтобы мебельный шип отличать от соединения коротких заготовок в стык для получения длинных заготовок деловой древесины приходится по-английски всегда давать уточнения. Но обычно понятно где про мебель, где про погонаж

по-русски обходятся добавлением к шипу приставки "микро-".
