Designated country end product means a WTO GPA country end product, an FTA country end product, a least developed country end product, or a Caribbean Basin country end product. Тут нет, конечно, речи о "назначенной стране". Речь идет о стране, включенной в определенный перечень. Конечно, такой перевод мне не нравится. Если поразмыслить, то упоминание WTO GPA country, FTA country и least developed country заставляет думать, что речь идет о странах - получателях торговых преференций. (Про Caribbean Basin country я просто не в курсе. Может быть, стран Карибского моря тоже касается.) |

плохо потому, что рядом не стояло это термин, а не протсо словосочетание, поэтому сначала нужно попробовать найти определение и вот: "Designated Countries are those countries deemed to have robust environmental and social governance, legislation systems and institutional capacity designed to protect their people and the natural environment. The Equator Principles Association makes no independent assessment of each country’s performance in these areas. As a proxy for such an assessment, the Equator Principles Association requires that a country must be both a member of the OECD and appear on the World Bank High Income Country list to qualify as a Designated Country. пока я ковырялась... в отчете МАР есть "страны, соответствующие критериям кредитования МАР" - см. стр. 7 http://aif.bancomundial.org/sites/default/files/pdfs/ida_russian_brochure_2016.pdf и еще можно посмотреть на сайтах Ассоциации экваториальных принципов - м.б. там что-то есть |

Спасибо за ответы, все правильно, но как сказать это коротко и по-русски...конечный продукт...вот какой страны....не получается у меня сформулировать.

Очень, очень сильное чувство, что designated country из первоначального запроса и designated country из "экваториального принципа" не связаны никак . Иными словами, прилагаемое designated в общем случае означает всего лишь включенность в список (соответствие критериям). А уж какой список и какие критерии, в каждом случае надо выяснять отдельно. |
| Поэтому, конечно, вариант "включенные/не включенные в список" (как вариант, "соответствующие/не соответствующие критериям") намного безопаснее. |

A.Rezvov , еще раз спасибо большое за разъяснение, и опять же согласна, кроме того ведь есть еще qualifying country end product - которые я как раз перевожу как "соответствующие/отвечающие критериям". А "включенные в список" сразу вызывает вопрос - а что за список и где он...хотя в общем и "избранные" вызывает такой же вопрос. Незадача в общем... |

Попробуйте выяснить, что такое DFARS 252.225-7021. Итак, designated country - это нечто, что вписывается в следующие четыре пункта: (i) A World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement (WTO GPA) country - что это такое, надо разбираться отдельно, список по состоянию сентябрь 2019 года см. выше; (ii) A Free Trade Agreement country = страна, связанная с США соглашением о свободной торговле , список по состоянию сентябрь 2019 года см. выше ; (iii) A least developed country = наименее развитая страна, список по состоянию сентябрь 2019 года см. выше; (iv) A Caribbean Basin country = страна Карибского моря, список по состоянию сентябрь 2019 года см. выше. |
| Если считать установленным, что designated country как-то связана с торговыми соглашениями и т. п., можно, как я предлагал в начале, воспользоваться контекстуальным переводом и говорить о странах с торговыми преференциями или чем-то подобным. |
| Соответственно, можно и qualifying countries переводить как "страны, связанные с США" такими-то соглашениями и т. п. |
