Have you ever heard about context?

These are short labels in a computer program. Next to the label is a pull-down menu of (people's) names. The labels are all open-ended. Is there a way to leave them as such in Russian? e.g. "created by..." "solved by..." "assigned by..." etc.?

What in the world should the solved by… or assigned by… mean exactly? Maybe there is a way, if the native fully understands what he is translating. Aren't you know the basics of SW L10N?

No, I'm not aware of the basics of SW L10N, I apologize.

The solved by/created by refers to a work-order (заказ работы) to fix hardware/software problems. These work-orders are assigned to different people. When they are finished, the person must fill out a form:

Work Order #
Solved by: (name of person)
Created by: (name of person)

assigned to - ответственное лицо (лицо, которому назначено выполнение данной работы на объекте) имхо

Or you can also use participle like doen, prepared, made, etc

Но это только в том случае, если:
created by — is a field for the name of those who placed the order in the, say, database (and not the one who called for help)
solved by — the guy / gal who solved the HW / SW problem
assigned to — the one who's responsible for the order execution.

1. Это не заявка, это заказ/наряд на работу.

2. created by - я бы не писал исполнитель (подготовил/подготовлено), потому что это лицо, которое подготовило заказ, еще можно сказать заказчик (в нашей форме это заказчик, как у других я не знаю).

3. solved by - тут можно сказать исполнитель, если берем существительные (выполнил/выполнено).

4. Ответственный/ответственное лицо - это как раз начальник отдела, мастер, кому поручено контролировать выполнение задания.

Может быть. Я сделал соответствующие оговорки, которые должен быть в состоянии понять даже этот аскер. В Вашей форме это, может, и заказчик, только судя по Вашему ответу, она относится к строительству. А тут, если верить аскеру, helpdesk. Соответственно, и ответственное лицо может оказаться и диспетчером, и попкой с первой линии. Да там вообще кто угодно может оказаться кем угодно, если толком не знать и не учитывать контекста. А мы его оба не знаем.

Здесь, как было объяснено ранее другими таваришчеми, приняты стандарты перфекционизма, поэтому слегОнца указать трэба:
"Aren't you know the basics of SW L10N?"- не совсем правильно....
(не аб этам ли махавишну асапил в мэйлбокс.. слегка запаздала..)
