There are many points of identity between the enzyme potential and what is commonly known as vitality. The synonymity of this subtle power operating in the organism with the vital factor of the enzyme complex, enzyme energy, enzyme activity, metabolic activity, vital energy, nerve force, resistance, life force, and what Professor Moore called "biotic energy" is rendered highly probable by the complexion of the evidence. With the exception of the enzyme concept, all of these terms, including the commonly used "resistance", are vague and abstract, failing to denote a concrete or measurable entity.
