Народ, помогите перевести всю фразу целиком, плз! У меня есть свой вариант, но если кто подскажет что полезно - буду благодарна! Итак, супер-фраза:

"Проведено формализованное описание производственно-хозяйственного, экономического и финансового взаимодействия бизнес- и хозяйственных единиц и разработана укрупненная модель финансового и производственного технологического взаимодействия бизнес- и хозяйственных единиц".

Мой супер-перевод:

"The formal description of the production and commercial, economic and financial interaction of the business and economic units was made and economic and the (large-scale) model of financial and production and technological interaction of business and economic units was developed"

С глубоки уважением к Вам, я тем не менее считаю, что иногда буквализм при переводе лучше. А может я не права. Просто в данном случае я не очень глубоко разбираюсь в теме, мне сложно судить.

why do you disregard "economic units"?

It makes no sense in English.
Everyone gets at least a vague idea when he/she hears about a business unit. But an economic one?
К примеру ФХД я бы перевел как business activity, хотя здесь
я опускаю финансово-хозяйственный.

Но все словари (даже бумажные )) )дают - economic unit

Но на практике такого не встречал. Я помню своему начальнику, экспату сказал: Chris, my dictionary says otherwise. На что он мне в типично англо-саксонской манере ответил: I'm not a dictionary, I'm Chris.
