Subject: a-wan-ica
It's a made-up word, but I can't really get what it could mean, thanks for the help.
Here's the context:Kerry tries to make a political statement by inviting a supposedly gay girl to the prom
1. KERRY
C.J., you should have seen us tonight. The minute we walked into prom, everyone was buzzing.
2. C.J.
Well, why didn’t you bring that punch bowl to this party.
3. KERRY
No, I’m being serious, C.J. We really made a difference.
4. C.J.
I see you brought your date to the after-party. Ooh la-la! I know what that means?
5. KERRY
There's no "ooh la-la." We're making a political statement.
6. C.J. (OS)
No, no.
7. C.J. (ON)
The prom was the political statement. The after-party’s “ooh la-la.” And you know what? I think Monica might ‘a-wan-ica."
8. KERRY
No she won’t.
9. C.J.
I hope you're right, Shrimp Puff.
MONICA RETURNS WITH A GLASS OF COLA.
10. MONICA
Oh, I like this song. Let's dance.
