Подскажите, пожалуйста, кто такой qualifying person?

В тексте налоговой декларации о доходах физ лица США идет раздел:
FILING STATUS:
single
married...
head of household (with qualifying person). If the qualifying person is a child but not your dependant, enter the child's name
qualifying widower with dependant child

I believe a "qualifying person" is person who "qualifies" as a tax exemption on the claimant's form. it can be a child, a dependent, etc. Each jurisdiction imposes their own definition of what it means to "qualify" for tax purposes.

Но нужен шире контекст.
Например, если речь идет о налоговой льготе - то просто "лицо, заявляющее льготу"
(это у наших налоговиков теперь такой сленг :-))
