Подскажите, пожалуйста, нужен ли определенный артикль перед Чешской Республикой. Контекст прост: некто находится сейчас в Чешской Республике. Заранее спасибо!

some people claim that you dont need it anymore, but all my sources say you do and all my super academic friends who work in fields related to Eastern Europe will tell you that you still use THE before it as you do before Russian Federation, United States (of America), British Virgin Islands, United Arab Emirates, etc...

В пытность преподавателем я объясняла это так: если есть какое-либо определение при названии (states/republic/union/plural -s), то добавляем "the".
