had been trapped - о животном (прибл. попался в капкан/ловушку)

по анологии с этим о человеке, застрявшем в лифте, можно сказать had been trapped (и т.п.)

конечно без контекста здесь (как и при 99% других переводов) не обойтись, о чем говорилось на этом форуме миллионы раз (и продолжает упаминаться каждый день)
