Пока я понимаю так:
За пределами теннисного корта не дай своим амбициям остыть.
Т.е. будь таким же амбициозным и старательным как в спорте, на теннисной площадке. Имхо

And I daresay the meaning differs from song to song. As with any figurative phrase the precise
meaning depends on the context, that is -- exactly the stuff we're lacking here. Without it the 'sushi' is as good guess as any.
