what is the name of the University in Russian and i can tell you....

as far as i know your degree will be:
Bachelor in Lingusitics with a concentration in Translation Theory
Languages: English, German

but you should give the actual russian text first

образование: Восточный Государственный Университет
специальность- переводчик англиского и немецкого языков

вот так вот и написано в этой графе.
степень бакалавра имеется, вот и думаю как написать что бы не получился "русский" английский

У меня примерно такой же вопрос, как правильно написать в резюме специальность переводчика, если в дипломе она звучит так: Переводчик-референт с высшим профессиональным образованием.

Дело в том, что то как обычно принято переводить у нас в моем случае не проканало, у рекрута (англоговорящего, не знающего нашу систему образования) возникли сомнения по поводу того что я вообще закончила универ.

Пришлось переделывать резюме, написав:

1995-2000 XXXX University
Diploma Degree in Linguistic Sciences.
Translating and Interpreting Department.

well, it traslates liteally as Foreign Language Assistant with Professional Education (this is your profession)

As for diploma, i would have written:
Date, XXXX University
Bachelors in Linguistics
Concentration in Translation and Interpretation

This "Foreign Language Assistant with Professional Education" is the title of your profession i suppose. But I would, in english, just call it, Intepreter/Translator

you could also say Professional Interpreter/Tranlator (sounds a bit more serious even though it is just a bit more BS)

Исходя из имеющейся информации должно быть так

Eastern State University (а это где такой?)
BA (equivalent), Linguistics (Translation Studies)- без equivalent, если у Вас действительно степень бакалавра (по переводу или по языкознанию, кстати?), если международный бакалавриат - IB Diploma, Linguistics

Даром что МТ дает "Reviser"="корректор":-). в данном случае "референт"

Не надо concentration, и уж вообще не надо foreign language assistant with professional education

И лучше всего - оба дайте, пожалуйста, полное название университета, название предмета/специальность и присвоенную степень и квалификацию на русском.

i think you completely misunderstood something here

1. you can say "concentration" - perfectly proper answer
2. i did not say to use foreign language assistant with professional education. i said to use just (Professional) Translator/Interpreter
3. about saying equivalent, i agree

4. Вас уже не раз просили, не надо помогать "как Вам кажется", в данном случае это не помошь, а совсем даже наоборот. and what you wrote isnt just what you think? it isnt what seems to you to be the right way? as there is no set way to translate these things, your comments are also just a bunch of personal opinions based on experience

and yes, I am not a professional translator. But it does not mean that I cannot try to give someone some advice. If the asker had written as I had suggested, ANY prospective employer in the English speaking world would have understood. So the advice wasn't as bad as you might think.
