Subject: Explain to me the use of "might of"?
Just came across this unusual (to me) form of using modal verbs in the sentence "You might of noticed that..." What I'm insterested in is whether this usage is semi-formal/informal/slang...and how does it happen that no grammar books give any example of such usage. Is it spanking new?

might of = might have. Часто встречал на форумах...

в дополнение к посту выше:

это просто некоторые не слишком грамотные товарищи пишут "как слышится". Схема трансформации примерно такая:

майт хэв -- майт'эв(ф) -- майт оф

might have -- might've -- might of
