Subject: "Ты!" собрался было в ужасе крикнуть он. Can anyone help me out with the собрался было here? I can't seem to make it sound nice in English - was he about to shout it? Would have shouted? Tried to shout? On the verge of shouting? once you add 'in terror' to any of these it sounds crap.....Thanks! |

"You!" he would have screamed in horror... собрался было - значит, что собирался, но не крикнул. по контексту он там наверное сделал что-то другое, но не закричал, поэтому использовано would have. |

he was just about to scream out: 'Oi, you!' перевод "в ужасе" зависит от контекста также, как, собссна, и "закричать" - смотря кто и в каких обстоятельствах... ну сколько можно про контекст? ((( |
